Short Answer: No — E-Bike Batteries Are Not Allowed on Planes
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) prohibits lithium-ion batteries over 100 Wh from being transported on passenger aircraft — either as carry-on or checked baggage. All FavoriteBikes e-bike batteries significantly exceed this threshold, so they cannot be brought on any commercial flight.
Why the Restriction?
Large lithium-ion batteries pose a fire risk at altitude. The FAA's regulations are designed to protect passengers and crew. You can review the official guidelines here:

Traveling With Your E-Bike? Here Are Your Options
- Ground transportation — Ship your bike via FedEx, UPS, or a specialty freight service ahead of your trip.
- Bike rental at your destination — Many cities have e-bike rental services if you only need a bike temporarily.
- Remove and ship separately — In some cases, the battery can be shipped as freight (not air) while the bike frame travels differently. Check with your carrier for requirements.
