How to Adjust Assist Levels on Your FavoriteBikes E-Bike

Every rider has a unique style—some prefer a gentle push from the motor, while others want strong acceleration right away. That’s why FavoriteBikes’ Smart System is designed with flexibility in mind. It allows you to customize your pedal assist settings to match your personal riding preferences.

This guide will show you how to adjust your assist levels and choose the mode that best fits your needs.

Why Adjust Your Assist Levels?

The default assist settings work well for most riders, but they may not offer the ideal balance of power and control for everyone. By adjusting the levels, you can:

  • Get smoother, more precise power control

  • Reduce or increase the number of assist levels

  • Tailor the motor response to your riding environment

Whether you want more control or more boost, it’s easy to make changes in the display settings.

Steps to Change the Assist Level Range

  1. Turn on your e-bike.

  2. Double-click the Menu button on your handlebar to enter the settings menu.

   3. Scroll down using the arrow keys until you find Assist Level, and then click "M" button to confirm.

   4. Select Assist Level to view available configuration options. Here, you can choose how many levels of pedal assist you want, and how much power each level delivers.

Assist Level Options

  • 0–3 or 1–3 levels:
Fewer levels with stronger power in each step. Ideal if you prefer simple settings and immediate power delivery.

  • 0–5 or 1–5 levels:
A balanced option that provides moderate control and power without being too complex.

  • 0–9 or 1–9 levels:
This mode gives you the most control, with finer differences between each level. Great for riders who want a smoother, more efficient ride.

  1. Once you select your preferred range, exit the menu. Your setting will be saved automatically.

Final Notes

  • Level 0 provides no motor assist, allowing you to ride manually if desired.

  • If you’re commuting in flat areas or just cruising, more levels (like 1–9) offer better control.

  • If you’re carrying loads or tackling hills, fewer levels (like 1–3) can give you quicker access to stronger power.
