If you are a first-time user, have recently reinstalled the battery, or if the bike has been dormant for over 3 days, it will be in sleep mode. Both the RFID fob and Bluetooth might have gone into sleep mode as well. To awaken the bike, press and hold the power button until the display turns on.
If the display remains unlit, press and hold the power button for approximately 15 seconds to initiate a forced restart.
If the display does not light up, then it is likely a power connection issue. Follow these steps to troubleshoot:
-
Check the Battery Connection: Remove the battery and reinstall it onto the frame. You should feel and hear a click when it is fully installed into the frame.
-
Inspect the 8-Pin Controller Connector: Unplug the 8-pin (biggest) controller connector on the bottom of the display. Check the shape of the connector and make sure the male and female connectors line up. Once you have confirmed this, plug it back into the bike.
-
Check the 5-Pin Button Connector: Examine the shape of the 5-pin button connector, ensuring that the male and female connectors line up. Then, plug it back into the bike.
By following these steps, you should be able to resolve any power connection issues and enjoy a smooth riding experience with your bike.
